Joe responded to my enquiry for a new roof in minutes. He provided a comprehensive quote the same day and after we gave the go-ahead. Our roof was stripped and replaced in 4 days (it's a big roof). Price quoted was reasonable, I did request a written quotation...was told this was not how they work. Was also given o guarantee in writing, which is a requirement for insurance purposes. Price was agreed to complete the main roof including the small bay window. I was told the latter would be done after the scaffolding was down. Almost a year later bay window still not done I did retain £500 having paid out almost 9k. As I was advised not to pay in full until the job was completed. I also had to pay over £300 to Newcastle-under-Lyme Local Authority as prior to the work taking place I should have had an inspection, then they come out to check the completed work. As I did this retrospectively, as I was told nothing was required I had to pay a much higher default price. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company.
